It’s our second time staying in Rixos, we absolutely love this hotel! The location is just beautiful, big territory near the lake. There are lots of activities for everyone - pool, beach, bikes, amazing kids club for children. We particularly loved the cycling track that goes through the pine forest, very scenic! We stayed in junior suite - the room is very spacious, I loved it. Good choice of dining options - the restaurant on the lake was our favorite, to have dinner and watch the sunset. Big thank you to the staff for making our stay enjoyable. We will be back!

After my first night, there was a violent thunderstorm that resulted in my room being partially flooded, so I had to change rooms as repairs were going to last half a day. The room switch and subsequent communication between reception and their manager was below standards for a hotel of this standing. I had to go to reception to find out what was going to happen and when. The issue was eventually solved, but I wasted 40-60 minutes of my vacation time just waiting around for someone to communicate with me. My new room was identical to the first minus the view of the gorgeous sunset I had in the first room. As compensation for all the waiting, I was granted a free dinner in a location of my choice, but only after I mentioned that it would be good customer service practice for the hotel to make a gesture for the inconvenience encountered, and only after I declined the free dinner at the buffet (this hotel has an all inclusive rate which consists in having all meals at the buffet. If I had wanted to have meals at the buffet, I would have opted for this, but this is just not what I wanted to do.) The hotel is comfortable, clean, and my room was quiet. I had awesome food at 3 locations: the Summer cafe (where I must commend Umida's impeccable service and great English skills), the Chalet, and the Sunset Terrace. Here, I must also commend the staff in all locations including the spa and the beach. The weather cooperated and the beach was delightful. Overall I left refreshed and stocked up with enough vitamin D to last me half the harsh winter in Astana!

Nice rooms, lovely decor throughout hotel with attractive design; great breakfast buffet with nice outdoor seating overlooking grounds; good restaurants on site; good bars on site; great location with hotel's own quiet breaches for swimming and relaxing on the lake, plus paddle boards and boats; nice bar at the beach; good indoor swimming pool. The location with its own lakeshore was very nice and allowed us to relax on the lake in more quiet and comfort than in places in town or with public beaches, away from the crowds at Borovoe itself. However, also easy to drive to and from other places around the two lakes.

Pretty big territory, inside and outside, with a few restaurants and a bar. The hotel itself looks great with big open spaces and luxurious decorations and the outside hosts a lot of additional attractions like a jumping trampoline, tennis courts, mini-golf (only one lane), spa compexes and a pier with catamarans, kayaks and jet skis. There are hiking routes and bicycle lanes running around all the Borovoe.

+ It was a pleasant stay for us, everything was working and available. Amazing programme for kids in kids club, big spa and swimming pool. Good food in outdoor restaurant, big and clean room and friendly staff everywhere, very good security, looked well when kids were around even a guard in a kids room! Which is great. - wine is overpriced, they allow adults in tiny kids pool, water in the pool was cold, but temperature shown was 29 degrees of the water, teppanyaki is not worth it, do not order.

Very comfortable room with great breakfast buffet and nice outdoor seating overlooking grounds. A few good restaurants on site. Really great location with hotel's own quiet breaches for swimming and relaxing on the lake, plus paddle boards and boats, plus good indoor swimming pool. The location with its own lakeshore was very nice and relaxing on the lake!

It seems this hotel is like fine wine: it gets better with age. This is likely due to the efforts of the GM who tirelessly walks around the property, greeting guests and making sure all is going well. I was pleasantly surprised there were even oysters on the menu at the summer cafe! What a treat.
